Essay 3 is a continuation of work that you have already started. Essay 2 gave you space to explore an important question related to your future career. Now, you will take a stand on the question and create an argument based around it.
Topic: Select a debatable topic related to your career field and write a well-supported argument making your stance clear.
By doing the work of evaluating the research and putting sources in conversation with each other (in Essay 2), you can now see what has not been addressed, or where you want to situate yourself in this conversation. Perhaps there are some “answers” in the scholarship that need to be challenged or responded to, and your essay can do that.
