For this discussion, reflect on the videos you watched. Share your thoughts, opinions, and feelings about the material you encountered. You may feel compelled to focus on one particular part, such as the grieving process. Or, you may feel strongly about the videos you watched and want to share your emotional reaction to those stories. Consider the fact that as people get older, they will experience more loss in their lifetime. It may begin with grandparents or unexpected deaths due to illness, and continue with the loss of parents, other family members, friends, and significant others. These losses can be jolting and extremely difficult each time they occur. A number of support resources are available such as grief groups so that people can process loss.
Goal: The goal of this discussion assignment is to help you have a well-informed thought or opinion about death and dying. It is also an opportunity for you to dig deep and share your feelings and thoughts about death and the different approaches to dying.
