So the essay must be 800 words and consist of 4 paragraphs, each being 200 words long (introductory paragraph, 2 body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph). The introductory paragraph must contain the thesis statement (individualism is important to a well-functioning society), a problem in today’s society which relates to the thesis, an explanation of said problem, and a second problem and explanation of the second problem.
Both problems must each have a credible source (article) with an author. The introductory paragraph should finish with a solution for both problems.
Each of the body paragraphs describe one of the problems and an explanation of the problem, and paraphrase or quote of up to two sentences from the article.
For the conclusion paragraph, it must be the topic sentence (individualism is important…) followed by a solution that the writer can do.
First and second person cannot be used for this paper, and each paragraph must tell a story and have simple, easy to understand sentences.
My third source that can be used as an example is 1984 by George Orwell, which is where the idea of this thesis came from.
