As a youngster, I spent countless hours crafting various shapes out of paper and clay, fascinated by the art of sculpture and honing my dexterity through self-expression. Though my love for the arts and crafting remained strong, my father’s emphasis on the importance of education opened my eyes to a whole new world. I became fascinated with science and its applications in our day-to-day lives, wondering what physics we would know today if Newton had not questioned an apple falling on him. During my college years, I always had an interest in the medical field and was drawn to the complexities of the human body. My love for the sciences and arts grew stronger, and I found myself drawn to a field that combines the two elements: Dentistry, to me, is the perfect blend of art and science. It is a field where precision and attention to detail are of utmost importance, and the end result is a beautiful and healthy smile.
After completing my college education, I decided to pursue dentistry as a career. I worked tirelessly to prepare for the entrance exam and was overjoyed to receive a ranko f 3038 out of 70,000 students, which earned me a government scholarship to pursue my dental education. On my first day at dental school, I still vividly remember the sense of excitement and anticipation that I felt. I knew that I had made the right decision, and I was eager to learn everything I could about
the art and science of dentistry.
While working in India after my graduation, I also had the privilege of working with Dr. Ali, who had completed hir implantology course from Cambridge University. His knowledge and expertise inspired me to pursue further education in the field of dentistry. During my clinical experience in India, I had the opportunity to work on several complex cases, but there was one case in particular that left a profound impact on me. I remember it was an emergency abscess case, and the patient was in excruciating pain. I was able to calm the patient down and perform an emergency access opening on the patient. The relief the patient experienced was palpable, and it was at that moment that I realized how much I could help people with my skills.
I believe that the DDS program in the United States will provide me with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become a skilled practitioner in the field of dentistry and help me provide comprehensive and effective care to my future patients. My interest in pursuing a career in dentistry was further solidified when I had the opportunity to shadow a dentist in the United States and Canada. I was fortunate to learn and observe clinical practice in
some of the most technologically advanced clinics in these countries. Under the guidance of Dr. Josh Doyle and Dr. Hiba, I was exposed to a wide range of advanced techniques and equipment used in dental practices in the US. I was impressed by the level of precision and attention to detail that was required to provide top-quality care to patients. The opportunity to shadow these practitioners was a truly eye-opening experience, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of the dynamic and innovative field of dentistry in the United States.
In addition to my academic and professional background, my family has also played a significant role in inspiring me to pursue dentistry. My elder brother is a family physician practicing in Canada, and he has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and strive for excellence. I also have family living in the United States, which has further fueled my desire to study and practice dentistry in the US
I am confident that the DDS program in the United States is the next logical step in my career path, and I am excited about the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty and interact with a diverse student body. I am passionate about dentistry and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of my patients, and I believe that this program will enable me to do just that. With my strong academic background, clinical experience, and passion for the field, I am eager to make the most of this opportunity and contribute to the dental profession in a meaningful way.
