Assignment #3: Interprofessional Collaboration
The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree prepares nursing leaders with the qualifications needed to establish and manage interprofessional teams for improving complex issues in clinical practice. Organizational change stems from quality improvement processes and in turn these stem from high level collaboration of healthcare team members.
The DNP student committed to advancing nursing practice will complete a comprehensive assessment of an organization and identify issues for improving healthcare delivery.
In 10 pages or less (excluding the title page and references) the DNP student will develop a strategic plan utilizing a collaborative model for the development of an interprofessional team on an identified clinical issue.
Describe the assessment process utilized to identify the clinical issue
Explain the clinical issue with details
Describe a collaborative model/framework that can be integrated by team members
Describe the purpose of the interprofessional team for this clinical issue
Outline objectives for the team; need to be specific and measurable
Discuss Team members and roles; be specific with details
Develop a strategy (s) for handling conflict resolution on team with a specific plan
Develop a timeline for accomplishing the plan/functions of the team; specific timeline with details; can put as an appendix in the paper. You can provide a table rather than a narrative.
Provide an evaluation of the outcome; how will the success of the team be measured; specific details
