Procedure – Virtual Lab description describes full procedures. Remember to state concise and precise steps of what to do, leave out any analysis or reasoning. So when the virtual lab description says: “Now remove some of the free chloride ion by adding AgNO3…..”, your writing should be concise as ” Add 1ml increment of AgNO3 until EQ is shifted.”, so you do not have to mention it is because AgNO3 can remove the free Chloride ion.
Data/Observation – For each concentration change (virtual lab description steps 1-4), how many mL of what reagents do you add, what is the color change? For step 4, at what temperature and what is the color change?
Discussion – For each change (virtual lab description steps 1-4), why is such color change occur in terms of the system’s response and thus the direction of shift to restore EQ? Under cold and hot environment, why is such color change? Is this reaction endothermic or exothermic? Calculate the K (equilibrium constant) based on concentrations in molarity for each of the chemicals (virtual lab description step 5 – only need to do the first sentence, ignore the rest).
