How can we re-imagine the pandemic? Are there historical parallels that our students could explore? Such as comparisons with previous epidemics or pandemics and how it changed society, and was recorded in art, literature, or in philosophical reflections?
Type of Assignment: Paper:
Choose one way to respond to the Rubric question regarding Re-entry to a normative mode forward from the pandemic. Any form chosen must demonstrate a philosophical approach to meet the course study.
Comparative method: Explain how, The Plague, by Albert Camus, helped you work through some of the emotions and/or political, religious, moral, suffering, resilience, or any of the many philosophical themes Camus offers in this book in comparison to our own plague, the covid pandemic.
The method choice should ensure a full explanation and/or representation of what you want to convey.
Any and all borrowed ideas must be cited and properly embedded in whichever method you choose.
The only required source is, The Plague, yet students may use additional sources; The Plague, however, as the foremost catalyst for a philosophical response.
Works Cited should show any/all works used; especially of course, The Plague. MLA or APA format
The response must be complete in conveying your ideas so as to ensure you are understood.
