For this week’s assignment, you will create a timeline that will review the historical milestones of the introduction of various substances of abuse. The materials in the required readings will provide you with the basic information, but additional research should be done to fill in gaps in the reading material. The goal will be to demonstrate an understanding of the evolution of substances of abuse from early human history to current times and discuss trends for future consideration. You will have two options for completing this assignment.
Option 1: Using Kaltura, you will create a minimum 5-minute video where you will present a highlight of a timeline of substances of abuse and discuss current trends in substance abuse. You will choose at least 7 points of time to highlight in your video. You will find a tutorial on how to use Kaltura in the LibGuide for this week.
Option 2: You will write a 3-5-page paper, you will choose at least 7 points of time to highlight in your paper. DO NOT COPY from any resources you read, but rather summarize the material and discuss both historical information and current and future trends.
